Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy in which dried plant materials called "moxa" are burned very near the surface of the skin. Moxa is made from the dried leafy material of Chinese mugwort (Artemesia argyi). The intention is to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences.

Moxibustion is used to help with pain due to injury or arthritis, especially in "cold" patterns where the pain naturally feels better with the application of heat. It is also used for Digestive problems. For gynecological and obstetrical conditions, including breech presentation in late term pregnancy. For protection against cold and flu strains.

Chinese Herbal Medicine

Plant elements and extracts are sometimes used to support treatments. These are patented and standardised herbal formulas.

Massage Tui na

Tui na is a therapeutic massage and body work. Tui na is not generally used for pleasure and relaxation, but rather as a treatment to address specific patterns of disharmony. It is similar to physiotherapy.

Cupping therapy

In this treatment the therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This is used for many purposes, including helping with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Diet

TCM diet is based on energetic principles to encourage balance. We try to clear the acidity in the digestive system and help ensure that the body is free of disease and full of energy. This is very important in the human bioenergetic filed. It is not only about calories.

Please note that TCM is a complimentary medicine where the person is treated holistically. We look for the root cause of illness or pain. Each treatment plan is unique to the individual.
